Project Summary
Esihle Mnguni Attorneys Inc. is a South African law firm built on the pillars of integrity, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to justice. They approached Gereth Graphics to craft a visual identity system that reflects their values and communicates their brand promise with clarity and confidence.
Their slogan “Your trusted legal partner and your shield in times of legal challenges” served as the cornerstone of the design approach. The goal was to inspire trust, convey protection, and ensure accessibility, while maintaining the professional tone expected in the legal field.
Project Objectives
1. Design a professional and timeless logo that captures the essence of the legal profession while remaining modern and client-friendly.
2. Develop a brand style guide to ensure consistent use of the visual identity across all platforms.
3. Create stationery designs (business cards and letterhead) that align with the new branding system.

To visually interpret the firm’s slogan and mission, we explored symbolic elements that align with their brand values. These symbols were considered during logo ideation to ensure the final mark resonates with the firm’s identity and purpose.

The torch motif was chosen to represent guidance and enlightenment. Burnt orange was applied to the torch element, evoking flame, passion, and illumination, reinforcing the firm’s role in guiding clients through legal complexities.
